In choosing one of our Collections detailed below, you get to make a lot of the big decisions (like your photographer, celebrant, florist) in one swoop, freeing you up to focus on some of the exciting and more personal details like whether you want to exchange personal vows; if you imagine your ceremony on a beach or among the mountains; or if you’d like help with finding the perfect venue for the elopement you envision.

The original meaning of “Elopement”: The act of leaving home secretly to get married – just the two of you in some far-flung corner of the world, committing to spending your lives together. Now, we don’t think secrecy is a strict requirement (we’re not opposed to it either) but the Quintessential Elopement speaks to the heart of the idea: Two lovers breaking away from tradition to celebrate the beginning of their marriage without any fanfare or unnecessary drama.
The Quintessential Elopement strips a wedding to the bare (and beautiful) essentials. Since the Quintessential Elopement is simple, without a lot of moving parts, it frees couples up when it comes to destination. You can literally get married on the side of the mountain if you wish or on a white sand beach that only appears in low tide. You choose your location, decide whether you want two guests or none, and we send our Creatives to get you hitched! Since this isn’t our first rodeo (or 50th), we can also help suggest iconic outdoor spots in Cape Town that we know give couples a sense of place and adventure (and privacy).

Some couples love the idea of a true elopement (just the two of them, next to a waterfall, exchanging vows), and yet they cannot imagine doing so without certain friends and family to celebrate the singular occasion with them. It follows that the Invitation necessitates a venue choice, as well as more-detailed and intricate planning.

An intimate celebration that includes traditional elements of a wedding while retaining the intimate feel so many bigger occasions lack. Due to the limited guest number, couples won’t have to worry about not getting the chance to talk to everyone. There is time enough. Time for a personal and meaning ceremony, time enough for canapés and speeches; for champagne and stories; for family photographs; and, importantly, time for you as a couple to soak it all in.
